Good morning KUSHWAHA brothers. How are you friends? Fine!!Great, of course we are growing fresh vegetables in our own land caring entire human being for theirs existence. We KUSHWAHA do understand “work is worship”. Brothers but it doesn’t mean every body is owner of fresh mind. So few people are thieves few are terrorist they can not be constructive. However, we have given all right in those culprit hands. We can withdraw and roar for right. Trust me if you all will count yourself and your relative as a whole KUSHWAHA in new CASTE BASED CENSUS OF INDIA. Which is started? No doubt we can present us as a responsible patriot Indian citizen. It will show our actual figure and respected existence in our state. As I told you previously that few of us are using clan (Gotra or Sub caste) it is really big question mark of our unity. Thanks a lot for all those KUSHWAHA they have started to write <NAME><SINGH><KUSHWAHA>.But our responsibility not ended over here NEW CASTE BASED CENSUS OF INDIA is started, representative will come at your door step soon. You are educated so I am just requesting you don’t write or tick clan (Gotra or Sub caste) like
KOIERY, KANAUJIA, KACHI, KASHI, KACHHWAHA, GAITA, MAHTO, MARAO, MORI, MAURYA, MORE OR SHAKYA, BANAFAR, DANGEE, JARUHAR,. Please write only kushwaha KUSHWAHA.
Similarly Yogendra can’t be Joginder, Station can’t be Tishan then how KUSHWAHA will accept as Kachhwaha & how Kachhwaha will be accepted as Kachhi or Kashi. What will our children understand that my parents were illiterate or they were not aware with appropriate pronunciation of Sanskrit word (Vedic-Language). This is really a good chance after BRITISH-INDIA of caste based census. Please don’t repeat previous mistake of history. We have also great history. Brother I have taken some proofs from MODERN INDIAN HISTORY (RAJPUTANA) but before going in those flash back don’t forget Lord Buddha Born in 48th KSHATRIYA SURYAVANSHI line of KUSH (SON OF LORD RAMA).He was also called Shakya Muni because he born in Shakya Family (43rd line of Kush) all Puranic Granthas and Jatak Granthas are the best witness of our identity. All manuscript (Pandulipi) of Kashi or Kachi (Varanashi) and Rahat-Tash (Rohtash-Sasaram) convey to our identity. Patliputra (Patna-Magadh) & Nalanda calling us for those great emperors.
Can we really justify to our spirit. Have you ever seen any BRAHMIN in your village, most of them is by profession beggars? By nature landless by habit non vegetarian living under poverty line but if you will ask who you are. They will reply you “BRAHMIN” why because few of their ancestors were great scholar. This is not figure of few districts it is figure of entire state 66% BRAHMIN are not aware with primary HINDU-SANATAN(RIGVEDA & SHASTRA) interestingly mostly BRAHMIN have not seen any granthas (4-VEDAS,6-SHASHTRAS & 18 PURANIC aprox cost 30,ooo RS, VOLUMES MORE THAN 300).So how can we expect from their side(HAND TO MOUTH)? See, I know few of them are in win-win situation but I am not telling about those. So it’s totally goes to our responsibility (Self respect-Identity)? I respect great Brahmin Chankya (Diplomat) who helped great Mauryan (ONE OF THE GREAT CLAN OR GOTRA OF KUSHWAHA) to establish empire. But right now we have not support of Chankya (Kautilya). Here am just saying can I do? Fact is that we are still Kshatriya by profession (cultivator) by knowledge scholar not only today in past also.
NOW FLASH BACK OF IDENTITY “KUSHWAHA-KSHATRIYA SURYAVANSHI”
JAUHAR-
Mewar was the site of the three most famous JAUHAR recorded in history. When defeat in a siege became certain, the ladies of the fort committed collective self-immolation (JAUHAR). Wearing their wedding dresses, and holding their young children by the hand, the women would commit themselves to the flames of a massive, collective pyre, thereby escaping molestation and dishonor at the hands of the invading army. This immolation would occur during the night, to the accompaniment of Vedic chants. Early the next morning, the men would wear saffron-colored (KESHARIYA RANG) garments, apply the ash from the pyres of their wives and children on their foreheads, and put a Tulsi leaf in their mouth. Then the gates would be opened and men would ride out for one final, hopeless battle in which death was certain (performing Saka). These acts of JAUHAR and Saka are still remembered and have become an important part of KSHATRIYA culture and ethos.

KUSHWAHA & SELF RESPECT IN MODERN HISTORY-
Maharana Pratap‘s son, Amar Singh “KSHATRIYA SURYAVANSHI”, fought 17 wars with the Mughals. At this time a large chunk of Maharana Pratap‘s band of loyal Rajputs (KSHATRIYAS) became disillusioned by the surrender and left Rajasthan. This group included Rathores, Kushwaha, Deora Chauhans, Parihaars, Tomaras, and Jhalas. They are called “RORS” and settled mostly in Haryana, with some in Uttar Pradesh. Until today they do not intermarry with other Rajputs but “gotra permitting” with other RORS only.
Maharana Pratap “KSHATRIYA SURYAVANSHI” literally proved these words of Lord Rama:
“CHITRAY TANU DHIR SAMR SAKAN KUL KALANK TEHI PAMAR JANA”
Another such incident happened when immediate successors of Man Singh of amber proved to be ineffectual rulers. at the instigation of Jodha Bai, the wife of Jehangir, Jai Singh, great grandson of Man Singh, was raised to the throne of amber, to the no small jealousy, says the chronicle, of the favourite queen, Noor Jehan. it relates that the succession was settled by Jahangir and Jodha Bai in a conference at the balcony of the Seraglio, where the emperor saluted the youth below as Raja of Amber (Rajasthan), and commanded him to make his SALAAM to Jodha Bai, as the source of this honour. but Jai Singh “KUSHWAHA” refused and replied:
I will do this to any lady of your majesty’s family, but not to Jodha Bai
So this clearly shows even KUSHWAHA kings did not like the fact that KSHATRIYA daughters were given to Mughal kings

HISTORIAN & KUSHWAHA IDENTITY-
“KUSH” he was believed to be the ruler of a kingdom centered at KASUR in ancient times, and the present day PAKISTANI city still references him in name
KASHI or KACHI, also called Varanasi was derived from him. The MAURYAN dynasty, an empire that ruled the Indian Sub-Continent “ARYAVARTA” (320-185 B.C.) descent from “KUSH”.
Kurma was son of Sumitra thus migrated from their parental abode and established themself at the bank of the river Son, where they constructed a fort called the Rohtas (Rahatas) fort (BIHAR). T.H. HENLEY, states in his rulers of India and the chiefs of Rajputana that the KUSHWAHA  is believed to have settled in an early era at Rohtas(Rahatas) on the Son River in present-day BIHAR he notes however that their notable seats of power were Kutwar, Gwalior, Dubkhund, Simhapaniya And Narwar (Nalapura), (MP & RAJASTHAN)

  1. kdsingh indeed has given the best account of our history but i doubt if the unification is possible as far as inclusion of sub castes as one KUSHWAHA is concerned. what i mean is that ofcourse it will be ideal to do that but the problem is very basic. its not easy to give up the identity one’s forefathers had carried with them through generations. other is that our demographic structure has strenghtened the problematics of non unification of caste. is it possible that we can enjoy the privilege of the sub-caste even after the unification? then one might question “why only Kushwaha”, why not Maurya or Mahto to be given supreme authority? just because history says so?
    Will it be justified? See… these questions are necessary because development and ideals should not become tyrannical. otherwise sooner or later conflicts will defintely arise. history is important because it can strengthen our present but history should not dominate our present.
    the questioning of our own soul cannot be left unheard because in our soul lies our “self”…

  2. ya friend.. opinion the same as mine..i m not part of a special caste or bt i know the crushmen of brahmin.. i m kuswaha ..loved with a brahmin girl i don’t think about her that whether her caste or clan. bt she always think and with her parental dogmatic concept ..thus i hate mostly brahmin caste not brahmin word..becoz whoever has knoweldge he may be a brahmin. not by birth..we r human beings..we all are same…then why these types of ups and downs..I am anxious to know ur opinion..Abhay kUmar

    • first we are human thats above all , its not about any special caste things for me All Hindu are same , distinction makes us weak , we are divided into various parts . we worship same god we must have same we also need to be same . whatever always believe we are special the decedents of lord kush son of lord Ram , its enough to be proud , we need self belief so its important to know identity . belief whats makes us special .

  3. the point Mr. Abhay Kumar is this that if your Brahmin girlfriend and her family would had accepted you for what you are, then your opinion would had been different. Right? so our experiences change our opinion everyday. now, these “experiences” were blocked in the long history by the upper castes and so we didnt get a chance to change our opinion everyday in this history. we were taught and we knew only one opinion that we are weak and upper castes are strong. so I think that your girl friend is doing nothing but is unable to come out of that thinking. i think that you didnt catch the point in this article. this article is talking about the unification of different kushwaha sub- castes like shakya, saini, verma, etc as kushwaha only. and this stand has been objected by me and my friend Amit. we both believe in the individual caste potentiality.

    When any society start thinking and planning with a strong will to uplift and to improve his social position, no one can stop progress of that community. I appreciate your efforts and your vision for unity of our great caste. We are Suryawanshi Kshatriya and our past was so glorious that any caste of India could not be matched. It seems that you did a lot of research for writing this article. I use Kushwaha title and my father and my son too. I wish to share some problems which I faced with Kushwaha title. My cousin who started writing Shakya title criticizes Kushwaha title. His arguments are – that How Kush was born in jungle when Mother Sita was living with Sage Balmiki. He is an atheist by nature and says that as per science, no person can take birth from Kush grass. As per him, either Kush was son of Shudra (Servant Class) sage Balmiki or son of any tribal. Being a Hindu, I always objected his version. In frustration, I told him that our science was in very developed stage in ancient period. There are many examples of this type birth in Hindu history where human being got birth from non-living objects and non-human living beings. I also said that it is sin to discuss birth of our ancestors as it is matter of faith not history, science or logic. He further used to argue that if I believe in this then how Kush became son of Ram. He is son of Kush grass and hence Kushwaha becomes descendants of Kush grass. I consider him blasphemous but have no answer for his logical arguments. Second problem I faced from my neighbor Kachhwah Thakur. When my family purchased a new house our neighbor was R. K. Singh Kushwaha. We read his name plate and thought that he is also Kushwaha like us. After some day when we placed our name plate he came to know that one more Kushwaha came to our colony. He came to meet us but when he came to know that we are Kachhi, he became nervous. On the very second day, He changed his name plate and wrote his name as Thakur R. K. Singh Kachhwah and came to us and said to my father to please do not start writing Kachhwah now. This was very humiliating for us. Although, now, he is very good friend of my father. Not because of our caste but because my father is a retired gazetted officer and my sister is a doctor and myself engineer and my brother-in-law is a colonel in army. I do not know how to overcome these problems, arguments, logics. Sometimes I think to change title and start writing historically well established suryavanshi title like Shakya or Maurya after reading many books on ancient history. Please suggest me.

  5. Dear Amit thanks for bringing history of Maurya to the kushwaha community. But I would request you to not connect this community to Ram and Ramayana this is totally myth and misguiding. REQUEST YOU TO STUDY MORE ON THIS. SAMARAT VRIDHADA MAURY WAS OUR LAST KING KILLED. BY BRAHMIN PUSYAMITSUNG(Brahmin) AND ESTEBLISHED SUNGA VANSH WICH LASTS ONLY FOR ACOUPLE OF YEARS IN WHICH RAMAYANA AND MAHABHARTA WAS WRITTEN AND PROJECTED PUSYAMITSUNGA AS RAM AND ALL 10 MAURYA SAMRAT AS DASHANAN RAVNA. THIS WAS DONE TO ESTABLISH BRAHMANVAD IN PLACE OF BUDDHISM.
